Slow German Podcast
For those of you looking to do some listening slowgerman.com is a great resource! It's exactly what it sounds like: a slow podcast in German. Annik is a native speaker that uses simple language and very clear pronunciation. Plus there are tons of topics so you get to hear quite a bit about culture too. I'm less than halfway through my tree and I don't understand the majority of what's being said, but I can get the gist of the topic and I can pick out a lot of the duo vocab! Regardless of how much you can understand, I think it's a great way to start listening. The more exposure the better!
The podcasts can also be found on the podcasts app on an iPhone and she has some faster podcasts too if you want more of a challenge!
I found this website last week, and I liked so much. The Absolute beginner section is so amazing!
If anyone is interested: I finally managed to install the app on my Android phone.
To do so, you have to first download the amazon app store, install it, create a new account, on a regular browser (on your computer for instance) fill a (fake) address in Germany in your profile, buy the free app, then go back to your phone, refresh the amazon app and install the slow german app you just bought. Phew!
I use the "AntennaPod" app in my Android phone, to listen to Annik. It works just great. It shows both sound and text, and you can download many episodes directly to your phone card, to listen later. For instance, when you are traveling and have no easy wifi, but plenty of free time in an airport lounge, inside a train station or bus. By the way, it is free:)
Yes i use for several months this is really good
Thank you for sharing this! I have been listening to the Goethe Institut podcasts and was wondering where to to go next!
