Leader board isn't correct today

Today the leader board is counting my weekly and monthly tokens incorrectly for some reason. It says i have 371 this week when i actually have 600+ tokens

The leaderboard has been updated to better reflect the coins you have earned this week (beginning on Sunday) and this month (beginning with the first of the month).

This allows you and your friends to compete on a level playing field by starting everyone off at the same place each week/month and gives a clearer idea of how many coins you need to earn in order to pass somebody.

Why do you believe it is not a "level playing field" to compare how much people studied during the past 7 or 30 days?

When a new user joins the site, they can be anywhere from 0 to 29 days (0 to 6 days for weekly) behind the curve, depending on when they joined. With the old system, they were guaranteed to need the maximum number of days (29 or 6) in order to be on par with everybody else - ie, have the same number of days of activity reflected on the leaderboard. With the new system, there is significantly less 'catching up' required in order for these new users to compete fairly. For any given day, a user now needs an average of ~15 days of activity in order to catch up as opposed to 30.

This actually extends beyond new users to any user that alters their pattern of activity, though to a smaller degree. The results of a change (either an increase or a decrease in daily activity) is evident more quickly on the leaderboard in the same way it is with a new user - instead of always needing the maximum number of days in order to be reflected on the leaderboard fully, the number of days are dependent on where in the rotation the new pattern began.

you're right it did count all of my tokens starting from sunday thank you for the info. It's just frustrating to see my monthly go from 3200+ to only 1700 but it's all good just more learning and fun to be had to get back to where I was.

I like the new system, but it says I have 991 points this week, when I actually have 1084 if Sunday counts, and 770 if it doesn't, so I guess something must be bugged ...

This is most likely due to a time difference between our midnight cutoff and your individual timezone.

Oh, that sounds logical :). I somehow thought that weekly points and the sum of daily points would be the same, it seems that daily points use local time for reset then.

When I look on my leaderboard it says you have 4808 coins in German and have earned +676 points this week. Maybe it's already been fixed?? (PS. That's amazing, I can barely get +300 points a week).

Mine still hasn't been fixed... thanks I try to get 100 tokens a day it really helps me keep my forward momentum going in my language learning.

Well I think they just upgraded the leaderboard (like, legit, just updated it) so hopefully it's fixed now or will be soon.

My leaderboard is showing that I earned 37 coins this week, but in my Weekly progress I can see Sunday:24 coins and Monday : 23 coins. Just wanted to report it because it could be a glitch (but probably it is just a timezone issue)

This is the first time that I've complained about a change. I don't like it... That said, I think DL is the greatest (with only this small glitch) ... :)

My leader board is acting up lately (the one for this week). Sometimes it doesn't show points at all, other times users are in the wrong order.

EDIT: refreshing the page resolves the issue.
