First level real world examples

How are we possibly supposed to translate those sentences as true beginners? Nothing in the first lesson came anywhere near the language in the sentences.

That was my first thought as well, until I realized you can touch any word in the sentence to get its translation. From there, even if you don't know a single word, you might be able to cobble together an English sentence; if you do know a few words (and you will start to very quickly), it's even easier. And sometimes, no matter what, you just gotta ask for another sentence.

I think it is mostly to get you into the habit of trying to translate sentences from the git go. If it is too difficult skip them till you can do some.
