I've posted about this in a few different topics, including the recent discussion where the word strength calculation was tweaked slightly. I'm seeing some of my most used words decay less than 24 hours after practising: http://i.imgur.com/IIqTToJ.png

Nearly every day I load up Duolingo and see that my Clitic Pronouns section has decayed substantially. And as per the screenshot above, I only practised them (and got them right!) yesterday, in some cases 10 hours ago!! This has happened time after time for weeks. And it is making me quite sad, although I guess it's improving my skill using object pronouns (although I'd rather focus on other areas than this one which is pestering me.

Cheers for any help, if you need any more info let me know.

I (still) have the same problem. I am wondering if the problem is that duoling does not register that we get these words right - at least I can't see any improvement in the decay rate of these words that come up daily.

I have a several subjects that decay every day. They also happen to be the more difficult concepts, in my opinion, so I don't mind that they decay so quickly, personally. I use timed practice to catch these up (as you probably do, too), otherwise I probably would be pretty annoyed.

I agree, it's nice having practice but these are concepts that are so regular that I've gotten used to them (I've noticed that the Imperfetto, or the Past Imperfect tense, also decays within 12 hours). And while it only takes 2 minutes to rehash those skills, it is just frustrating. Me ne sono annoiato, Mi voglio concentrare su altre cose!

Maybe as duolingo evolves, it will be able to learn from your real-world practice sessions where it is that your efforts need to be concentrated. That would be pretty awesome.
