Howdy Folks, Better description to come. Seeking to archive the Mar Plateado body of translation work and collect relevant information about the work of the body as desired by the group. Lets see some posts about what everyone wants to collect details/info/statistics wise. I'd like to consider this page as my contribution to the team effort, i'll look up statistics formulas if I need to =). If somebody posts something that you like please give a vote up, in that way i'll know that the collective body likes the idea.

I'm not sure how much help I can be to the group yet, as I am only part way through the reverse tree, but I really like the idea of an archived body of works that has been well checked by a number of serious translators and then protected. Besides the gratification gained from seeing our accomplishments, it would be a source for confidently reviewing and reinforcing vocabulary. I am not sure what kind of statistics would be valuable, or how you will accomplish the task, but I appreciate your efforts.

It would be interesting for me to see how many folks are working per session as well as how many completed articles there are per session (could be tricky as the sessions aren't equal in length).

People and articles per session are both very doable. Length of the sessions can also be recorded so we can see how the progress has flowed over time. One of the bits of information i'm curious about is if there are any thematic trends. Since I began participating in the group there has been many dance articles for example. The PERSIA acronym is what i'm thinking of using for categorization. https://historytech.wordpress.com/2009/10/02/tip-of-the-week-persia-graphic-organizer/

Ha! My son had to do PERSIA-based reports in fifth grade and middle school.

I remembered it from US history back in high school.

One detail I need. - How do you hide the link and hyperlink the word in the description?

Sorry, that is out of my realm of expertise. it was only last week that I learned I should be doing continual maintenance with "internet options" to get rid of cookies and history to keep my computer from bogging down. Moses used the term "session." How are you defining that? Are you thinking of a time limitation on each article?

A session is pretty loosely defined, it's basically a thread that the session owner keeps updated. We start a new session when the thread gets too full (100+ comments) or if the owner wants to pass the moderatorship to someone else.

There aren't time limitations on articles at all. It's up to the sponsor of the article how long they wish to keep it on the list. Or if the sponsor stops being active in MP, the moderator can touch base with them to see if they're ok with their article being moved to Complete or Abandoned.
