I am just starting with Duolingo. Can you tell me how I can go back and review previous lessons?

Go to home - click on Basic 1 (I assume it's where your level is now). On the right hand side you should see "Achievements" and then you can see the list of lessons that you have completed. Just click on that and it will let you redo the lessons
