I seem to be on level five forever. Not sure how I progress to the next level.

Just open that comment up and click on the link called "DuoCheck". It will tell you how many point you have total, your current level, and how many more points you need to level up. Enjoy!

Thanks, but that's already in a comment I put in a reply to cswrawr above. I also mention how you can click & drag the link to your bookmarks toolbar & even that it doesn't open a new tab or window when clicked on...just a dialog box for a quick check.

In case you didn't do it that way....it's the best way IMHO.

Each level takes progressively more XP to move to the next, looking at your profile, you need 72 more Xp to get to level 6.

Hey I wonder how you saw that so readily. Please let me know. ^_^

It might still be an A/B test, but opening someones profile shows their XP for each language . I'm surprised they haven't given it to everyone yet, to be honest.

Oh ok gotcha. Yeah, I can't see that, just which level.

Have you seen THIS: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/6428964#!

It's a great link you can simply click & drag to your bookmarks toolbar for one-click level checking.

I think they are actually doing an A/B test to take it away (everyone used to be able to see their progress towards the next level).

I wondered about this too..........which makes the above link even more important. I love having it on my bookmarks toolbar: just click and get a pop-up dialog with the points info, then close it...so quick.
