What do you think about learning more than one language at the same time?

I'm from Brazil, and besides Portuguese I can also speak English. I'm taking Spanish classes, but I also want to learn French. What do I have to do to get succeed in both languages?

If you study two or more languages at the same time, set aside time for each one separately and practice often.

Not get them confused. I am going to quote myself from a previous discussion today, along the same question.

< I do not recommend it if it is your first language. I learned Spanish and German for some time, then switched to just Spanish. i learned so much more better! Now that I feel more confident, I have began learning German and Greek. They are quite different, so I am not getting them confused. If you wanted to learn another language with German, I do not think you wold want to do Swedish, Danish, Dutch, as they are quite similar. Happy learning!

Well, It makes sense. Spanish and French are not so different as german and greek. Actually, they are kind of smiliar, however it makes me feel confortable to learn them. But you're right when you say that it can be confusing sometimes. Thank you for your advice, count on me when you decide to learn Portuguese :)

One thing that I've found works well is to learn similar languages (Spanish and Portuguese/Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish) together.

      I think it is fun:)

What you need is to be able to put lots of time into it.
