'de spiser uden mig' is what I wrote then thought, shouldnt it be, 'de spiser uden med mig' as they are eating without me rather than not eating me...make sense?

You don't need the 'med' (with), since that is implied in the 'uden' without.

"De spiser uden med mig" would mean "They eat without with me", and would be wrong :)
