I deleted my account because I want to start from the beginning, after a long break. Duolingo rejects my request for a new account with the same email. Help, please!
So, have you created an account with a different email, and want to change it back to the original?
I removed the app. Now I want to reopen the account for the same email address.
But is the actual original account, not the app itself, still existing under the original username?
I assume so, but when I deleted the app I got a message that all the information will be lost. Sorry if my request is confusing - I really appreciate your help
I believe since you mention "app" you were using Duolingo on mobile? If so, there are probably other features on the app that store extra data and as soon as you deleted the app, that data was deleted. Your account, however, is still fully active. Sign into Duolingo on their website and go to settings. There is a button that allows you to "Deactivate your account" Click that and that should do the trick. Then sign up again.
