    Because in Italian the adjective usually comes after the noun, see: http://italian.about.com/library/weekly/aa072199b.htm

    The italian, just like other languages (i.e., spanish) is more flexible than english about the structure of the sentences. In italian language, usually the adjective comes after the noun, but it could be otherwise.
