Isn't "Morgen eindigt de week" correct as well?

how is eindigt different from beëindigt? can either be used?

Eindigen is simply when something ends, but beëindigen is linked to some action, it's an active way to end something, e.g.: Ajax beëindigde de ongeslagen status van PSV = Ajax ended the unbeaten status of PSV.
