He seems like a decent wee cratur alright.
It's true! I chatted with him on a bus ride between Cork and Galway back in the late '90s. Michael D is a lovely chap.
Met him at a wake a few months ago. Can confirm he's a lovely little man, though something about him reminds me of the Monopoly man... :)
And he inspired this: http://www.broadsheet.ie/tag/michael-tea-cosy/
He's sound out.
I love Michael D. He is the perfect little man to represent our beautiful little country. He is our little leprechaun :)
But why "very" friendly--where's the very in this sentence?
The prefix an- means "very".
Tá sé an-tábhachtach - "it is very important"
Tá an-áthas orm - "I am very happy"
Tá an leabhar seo an-suimiúil - "This book is very interesting"
Why is cairdiuil lenited?
The "hyphenated intensive prefix" an- "Lenites initial consonants b, c, f, g, m, p".
We love Miggeldy Higgins (for those not in the know, Miggeldy is a corruption of Michael D).
And he has nice dogs too
