"strengthen" for some lessons in German will not load

Hi,

I am learning German and recently when I select "strengthen" the lesson will not load. I just get a message that says "Could not connect to Duolingo. Try starting the session again." I have restarted both Duolingo and my device but the problem keeps happening. So far this has only been a problem with two of the lessons, Business 1 and Language. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks!

I met the same trouble. So far I have a problem with three of the lessons, Household, Medical and Occupation. I am using the ipad version 4.2.1

Are you using the same wifi network, in the same part of the building, when doing those lessons as you are for everything else?

One solution I discovered: if I log in here (on the Duolingo website) I am able to select "strengthen" and refresh my skills in that lesson. But it still does not work on the Duolingo app on my phone.

Yes, I can select "strengthen" when I log in Duolingo on the website or the android version. But I still can't select some "strengthen" on Ipad.

You can try uninstalling the app and then re-installing it. See if that helps resolve the problem.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion. I have not uninstalled the app before. Is there any risk that if I uninstall the app I will lose my progress or mess something else up?

No, your progress is on the server. That's why you are able to view it whether it is on the app or the website.
