Abbreviated English expressions accepted but not unabbreviated versions of the same expression.

In translating Italian to English, "I'd", "you'd" & "who'd" are accepted as correct whereas "I had", "you had" & "who had" are all rejected. Since the former 3 are abbreviations of the latter 3, this is clearly incorrect.
