Translation:Intenté poner fin a la discusión.
why poner fin and not poner un fin?
If, as I think (but I'm not sure), "to put end" doesn't exist in english then it's just that the translation of "to put an end" is "poner fin" en español...
I tried Traté de terminar a la discusión. Is there a different flavor to this kind of "end?"
This sounds good to me as well.
I agree with echo. I did the same and marked me wrong..
Could I say ¨intenté acabar la discusión¨?
"intente terminar" (with accent) didn't work.
