Shortcuts for (Spanish) special characters?

Are there any shortcuts for the special characters in Spanish? -the tilde and the enye as well as the upside-down question mark and exclamation marks? It is a bit unhandy to be typing with the keyboard and then have to use the mouse to click on one of the special character...Thanks!

Look at the chart on this website. You may want to print it out and keep it by your computer for reference. Good luck!

Have you considered installing a Spanish or International keyboard? I use the Spanish one, and have a short period of time, I can type in Spanish, with all the accents, just as quickly (and without looking at the keyboard) as I do English.

Yes, I have installed the Spanish keyboard. But the switching back and forth in the exercises is still very unhandy as well as using the "shortcut" keystrokes in the chart referred to by Teenage Polyglot. What do students of the duoLingo Spanish course REALLY do???

I'm curious why you find it difficult to use the Spanish keyboard. You don't have to switch it during the lessons, just use the Spanish keyboard for typing in both English and Spanish.
If you want to switch it, just use left alt + shift to toggle between keyboard layouts.
I usually just use my Spanish keyboard all the time because it doesn't affect my writing in English.
