Can't see definitions of the new words (Edit: on my Laptop)
I'm learning French from English, and I can't see the definitions of the new words when I hover on them. I also tried the first lesson. Even though the owl says that I can see the word definitions by hovering on them, I cannot.
I've checked the same issue on my work computer, and I was able to see the definitions when I hover on them. I use Firefox 35.0.1 at work. My laptop that I used when I'm home has Firefox 35.0 and Google Chrome 40.0.2214.115.
I also checked from incognito mode (where there is no cookies or browsing history) and different browser. I cannot see the translations on my laptop. I'm staying in a dormitory, and I use dorm's internet. Is this problem related with some kind of connection issue?
What may cause this problem? Any extensions or firewalls? How can I contact with technical support? :(
It may be a temporary glitch. At least, I don't seem to have any problems in Spanish. Try logging out and the logging back in and see if the problem continues. Sometimes, a slow internet connection results in bad experience as the webpage doesn't load properly. Make sure that is not the issue.
Hi, I've tried logging out and logging in. But it didn't work. My internet connection is not that slow, I can make long Skype calls with multiple people. :(
As the problem seems to be with your laptop and not your account, you can try a few general troubleshooting steps and see if that helps.
- Clear browser cache and cookies. Then login and see if it works fine.
- Check if any user scripts or add-ons are enabled. You can try disabling them and then try logging in.
- Try a different browser.

I guess you can probably try logging in using a different laptop/desktop at the same place (using the same internet connection) and see if you still face the problem. That may help isolate the issue.
If you want to raise a ticket to the support team, click on the Support button present on the left of the screen. Though I am not sure, it will be of much help as the problem is not at Duolingo end.

I don't have Support button, I don't know why. But I can see the definitions right now. I didn't change anything but one thing: I've deleted my cookies.
Anyways, it works now. Thank you for you suggestions :)
