Copyright permission procedure

I have uploaded documents from a website that said their content could be used freely, with the exception of one source. That source was the one I most wanted to use. So I wrote to the source and asked for and received permission to use their material on Duolingo's site. How would other users or staff know I have permission? The page on the link shows a copyright at the bottom. Do I need to submit something?

Simple, make a scan of the permission they emailed or mailed to you and paste it in the document or host it somewhere. In the other sites you can copy the links with the respective permissions.

Thanks for your reply. How do I paste it in the document? I don't see a way to edit before or after a document uploads.

There are many ways of doing it, you could, for example, paste it in MS word, add the copyright letter, then send it to a online hosting site, like dropbox or something. Then use that link here.
