why is "The party ended when the man jumped in the pool." not accepted?
Why is the lesson forcing us to use words like "was" and "were" when they're not needed and actually make more sense without?
Den Store Gatsby?
Må jeg sige "Festen afsluttede da manden hoppede i svømmebassinet"? Hvorfor skal det være altid Passive?
The s on afsluttedes is necessary to ark the PARTY as the one ending. Without it, it should be: "Festen sluttede." Which is saying the same.
Just to train passive, I guess.
Is 'was ended' even correct in English? Sounds dodgy as fork to me?
Why do you have to put "was" in there? Does it not sound better without it?
