"Hun elsker at spise lagkage om lørdagen."

Translation:She loves to eat layered cake on Saturdays.

"layer cake" was accepted in previous iterations of "lagkage". i entered it for this translation and it stated that "layered cake" is the correct translation. this seems inconsistent.

Does Danish make any difference between : "on Saturday/on Saturdays"?

on Saturday, in US/Canadian English can imply every Saturday. It's not necessary to always say 'on Saturdays'.

Why does 'om lørdagen' not mean 'on the saturday'?
