Request: Seasonal Modules

Hey guys, first of all I would like to thank you for your excellent work on this application! I've been learning German since a while and my vocabulary is definitely richer!

I have a suggestion, why not implement in the tree some modules (elective) related with some specific seasons like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc?

Probably many persons who are learning a foreign language would like to travel in these periods I think it would be very useful.

Keep the good work! :)

Yes, different kind of trees would be very awesome! There was a different discussion about the idea of after completing your, tree there were different king of advanced trees with different subjects that you could choose from.

Yes, I think so, it kind of reminds me of when you finish school, everyone goes in different ways learning more about a specific subject.

I just had another idea.. What if, after the tree is finished, you specify what type you want to learn? So like, Spanish: Spain, Spanish: Mexico, or Spanish: Argentina, for example. I would preferably like to have it chosen before the tree is started, but this would be better than nothing!

Great idea. And I think that it would not be "better than nothing" but the better way to do it. So first you learn "common" (as far as it's possible) spanish, as actually, then you learn some specific grammar and some specific vocabulary/regionalism (so not only the three countries you said, all the different ones would be wonderful ;) ). Starting with the specification wouldn't be so good I think.

Yeah, now that I think about it, I think I agree with you

Yes probably, but I think the Spanish Duolingo teaches actually can communicate pretty well with the other types of Spanish.

I know, but that's why it would be at the end of the tree. I Spain they say Vosotros instead of ustedes, and zumo in stead of jugo. In Argentina they say vos instead of tu (or usted).

That's a great analogy!
