Can students access progress sharing from the App? They all forgot their passwords!

My students have school assigned tablets and have already been using the duolingo app. I would like to sort them into classes so I can better track them, but there doesn't seem to be an option on the app to go to progress sharing. I sent them the link I created to the classes, but it sends them to the website where they have to sign in again, and most of them have forgotten their passwords, if not their email addresses too! (These are middle school kids). Is there an easy way to get them into my classes?

Sorry to appear so cynical but if they cannot remember passwords and email addresses how do you expect them to remember the vocabulary and grammar. Perhaps a more low tech solution would be better for them?

all my students have the same password. That way I could go in and alter their settings if they accidently disable a function.

I have 9-12th graders and I always make them fill out an index card at the beginning of the semester with login info which I keep in my desk for future reference. If the app doesn't have progress sharing available then it probably needs to be updated to the most recent version. If you go to your dashboard and select the student the option to "Edit Section" should appear in the top right corner with a cog icon. At least that's how it works for me. :)

I normally do that too, but for my 6th graders, they take Spanish one semester and French the next. So, they set them up with the Spanish teacher before the option for teachers was available, and she didn't write down their login info!

press the android menu button, "view profile". "progress sharing" is towards the top.
