Accent marks in Irish

I do my Irish lessons on both my phone app and my desk top. How do I access accent marks for Irish on my phone? It shows them on my desk top screen but not on my phone screen.

I know on my android phone I have Swipe which can download other language keyboards, so I can switch languages by pressing and holding the space bar at which point it shows me a list of languages to switch to and scrolling down I can add another. I am sure there must be a way to download other keyboard languages on iphone as well. I think the first time I had to press the Swipe key and choose keyboards.

Oh, but that's right, on both phones, if you hold down a key a group of letters will pop up with different international accents to choose from and you just slide over the one you are choosing. So pressing down and holding an 'a' will show a , @, à , á , â , ã , ä , å , æ. I still like using the international keyboard for the particular language, so that it won't autocorrect to an English word by accident. (Always verify that what you typed is what you got before pressing enter.) All you need is the á, é, í, ó, ú and if you make it capital letter before pressing and holding you can get Á, É, Í, Ó, Ú.

Which operating system does your phone use? The method of entering accent marks is likely to vary by OS.
