I have nothing and nobody likes or does anything.
This is a depressing lesson. :-p
Please, when do someone use nicht and nichts, an a bit confused on this one
I'm so glad I'm not alone in thinking this. Although it would need to be weiß. Thank you for saying it.
Why other options are not correct? "nicht" and "kein". Why not "keine" if ich referred to feminine?
Nichts is the correct answer because it is the only one that can mean 'nothing'. Nicht means 'not'. Kein means 'no', and it needs a noun to follow it, as in "Ich habe kein Geld' (I have no money). Incidentally, even if the subject 'ich' is female, it would still be 'kein' instead of 'keine' because Geld is neuter. Hope this helps!
The problem is when you have to fill in the blank "Ich habe ____".... How are you supposed to know it's nichts? "I have not" and "I have nothing" are both English phrases....
As an auxilliary verb, no. In the meaning 'to perform', use tun: Ich tue mein Bestes. 'I do my best.'
mine simply stated, "Ich habe _"
I suppose i should have known without context what exactly it wanted me to say. "Ich habe keine" should be acceptable without any other clues.
google says I have not translates to ich habe nicht. I don't think there's any clues in the capitalization?
I have problem with "nichts" :))) No seriously how to pronounce it? Find it hard to sound the "s" after "t"
I put it "i do not have it" then it said the correct answer is "i do not have anything" and now at the top of my screen it says "i have nothing" Make up your mind Duo!
Sounds like Ich haben ichts. But you know that's wrong because the verb does not match with Ich.
"Ich habe nichts" means "I have nothing". That's OK, but, does "Ich habe nicht" also mean "I do not have" ? Both must be correct.
I chose the word nicht and translated as I have not. I think my choice is also correct.
I can't be the only person who starts singing Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" every time this question comes around
