Test Results

I think it would be really helpful to be able to review test results in detail. Anyone else agree? Guess it's too much to ask of a 'free' service...

The test is a progress test. The course is the review. So you can use the course more, then take the test again to check your comprehension again. :)

I've taken many tests and am always surprised at my low score, just wish more info was available to see specifically where I was incorrect. Thanks for your reply.

I believe the point of the test is to act as a progress marker rather than a tool for review. Since you can take the test essentially an unlimited number of times and there is a large but finite pool of questions to draw from for the test, I assume they don't want people to merely become familiar with the answers to the specific questions on the test by reviewing and memorizing what Duolingo gives as the right answer.

At that point, the test becomes a test of how good you are at the test more than a test of how much of Duolingo's course you've succeeded in internalizing.

It's annoying, but I can see a logic there.

I took the progress quiz after only a few days of learning Spanish, then took it again exactly one months later. My score improved tremendously - it more than doubled!

Since then, however, I haven't taken another progress quiz. For the most part, it just isn't worth the lingots to find out roughly how familiar you are with a certain language tree. It has been about 6 months since my last one though, maybe I should take it and see if I can get a 5.0/5.0...

I think so too. It would be very beneficial.
