Hey - just wondering if it's the computer, or if you actually are supposed to pronounce "os" and "as" when they're in front of certain words differently.. because when it was os passaros, it sounded like "ohs passarohs".. But now that it's "os sapatos" it sounds like "ois" and with skirt it sounds like "ais saias" instead of "ahs"...??

Sorry I hope that wasn't too confusing with the phonetic spelling but I'm just trying to figure out if I should pronounce it always the same or not?

Actually they're both right in a way. Depending on the accent some Brazilians say "oh" or "oo" for "o". What I don't think they would do is mix and match them.
