Hi, "badeværelse" might be the literal translation, but when used in DK "toilet" would work the exact same.
If people mean to go to the toilet (no intention to shower or bathe or rest (like in US restroom)) would they actually ask for the badeværelse? Tak
My understanding from comments is that you'd use 'toilet' if you needed to use a toilet. badeværelse would be for bathing, shower, etc (not using a toilet). There might be a toilet IN the room, but there has to be a bath. That's what other commenters said on different questions, anyway.
