  1. Pick a subject. Any one.

like I took "mejorar tu estado de animo".

  1. use google search and you will get suggestions:

a. como mejorar tu estado de animo b. frases para mejorar tu estado de animo. c. tips para mejorar tu estado de animo, etc.

  1. Then pick a website that you think might help you to learn words associated with your chosen topic

I chose bienestar.salud180.com (choose websites that are easy for you to understand)

followed the article which was very simple and easy to understand. did this for a few other websites.

Now I think that I can speak for atleast 2 minutes on "how to improve your mood / como mejorar tu estado de animo" in Spanish.

Hope this helps someone.

I also find that using Wikipedia in Spanish, http://es.Wikipedia.org, works as well. If you find one word in Spanish for something that interests you, you can look it up, which will teach you all the related words, plus it will link you to other articles which will teach you more. Of course you can spend a lot of time following links!

The best part about learning vocabulary by reading on the subject, at least for me, is learning what the word means and how it's used, rather than just learning the English translation.

Don't forget your favorite Spanish news site, which I have bookmarked now after you recommended it:

Right now crhoy.com is all volcanoes, all the time for me. I don't mean that as a slam, they've been a critical source of information on the three active volcanoes within 40 miles of me, all of which are rumbling, grumbling, slipping, or throwing up ash and sulfur dioxide since October. The Spanish version of Wikipedia is where I learned all the vocabulary about volcanoes so I could understand what I was reading. I think I know more volcanology in Spanish than I do in English. I certainly don't have "favorite" volcanologists in English but I'm coming to know the scientists at RSN and Ovsicori by name.
