Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Do you have to finish one language in order to start another?

Right from the start I jump about 28 skills in Spanish (I had some prior knowledge), and I was wondering if I can learn other languages simultaneously?

Thank you!

You can do several languages at once. You can also learn other languages from other languages. For example: English to Spanish and Spanish to German.

You can do all of them at once, if you want. Nothing stopping you from the Superdeutsche

I started yesterday through my iPad, and there was no way to get out of the Spanish lessons or to any type of main menu.

I have to say, the iPad app is tricky when it comes to changing the language, but it will be in your profile menu. Look hard: it's there.
