Okay I'm really having trouble with accents... any tips?

First, you need to know why accents is used in Spanish. Basically, it used to know where to place the stress or emphasis in a word.

Try to go through the following oral exercise to hear the difference on when to put stress in the word with the same spelling that differed with the accent mark.

One good tip is that all the words that end with the suffix "ción" have an accent (posición, habitación, coordinación, cooperación, and more)
