Um as "asr" means a period of time both in Persian and Arabic, I thought it can be the same in Turkish. For example ,in Persian, "asr-e-parinesangi" means "paleolithic era or period". What's the word of this meaning in Turkish?
I agree. Century comes from cent, which means 100. Yüz is 100 too. So century should be yüzyil. As in muhteşem yüzyıl. :) Asır would be era/age. But then again, so is çağ. I'm confused now.
To ease my mind, I'm going to watch more of Hürrem Sultan.
