Keep in mind:

  • Siz behaves just like vous in French, serving both as you (plural) and you (formal).
  • When you use the "possessive pronoun" as the predicative, you can use the version with or without -ki. (e.g. "The cat is mine": Kedi benim/Kedi benimki. There is a small difference though, when you say "kedi benimki", it sounds as if you talked about several cats and this specific one is yours)

At least Turkish has verbs and they more or less act the same as in Indo-European languages. I was really expecting Turkish to be more foreign than it is.

So, in the Accusative Case grammar page you mention "the newspaper" gets the accusative ending, but "a newspaper" would not. When do you use the accusative for pronouns? Or are pronouns always considered to be specific? We just don't use "the" with them in English, so pronouns should be mentioned perhaps in the Accusative page as well.
