Jag har en gyllene uggla!

...now to practice until I reach level 25...

And in addition, methinks I need to track down some familiar stories in Swedish, to boost my confidence. Anyone know where I can find the Hobbit in Swedish? Amazon was less than helpful.

Bokus might be a good idea.

Try this link, specifically, and scroll down to Hobbiten.

Tack så mycket! Except Bokus doesn't appear to ship to the USA... wonder if I can work out a deal with someone in the UK to help me get it here...

Shipping from Sweden to the US can be quite en tik. :/

What about their e-books? I haven't tried buying them with a foreign credit card so maybe they wont allow you. But at least I know that the books are DRM free (except watermarking) so they will probably work on a kindle, other mobile device.

That's a fantastic idea! I'll have to see what I can get from them onto my tablet.

This might not have the exact books you are thinking of, but quite a few ones in both English and Swedish (and for free!), so you can read them in parallel if needed: http://www.las-en-bok.com/.

You can buy a lot of second-hand books on www.bokborsen.se and most sellers should be willing to send them to whichever country if you pay the shipping costs. :)
