Could the discussion area be a bit more organised?
Just like to say thank you first off to the Duolingo team for making the best language learning tool available, and making it free!
Looking around the discussion area, there seems to be certain feature requests and issues that come up often, sometimes as posts and sometimes as comments. However there doesn't seem to be a way of keeping track of the status of any of these feature requests, and a lot of good ideas might well be getting lost.
I think it would be awesome if there was a bit more structure to the discussion area. For example, it would be good to have tags on each topic to identify whether it is a feature request, bug, or just general discussion. Also, if feature requests and bugs could have a status, that would be very useful. So the Duo team could say whether a feature had a status of planned, in progress, completed, or not going to happen. If users could then filter the posts in the discussion area by tag (e.g. feature requests which are planned) this would be really useful to keep track of the suggestions that users submit.
