Until it comes out, at least you can translate on paper...

An idea some of you might be interested in :)

I do this! It is a very good way to practice, besides for the obvious lack of community and feedback ;) It's also good for your memory to actually write out words and phrases by hand!

That's a great idea! But how would I know if my translations are correct? :/

Have you checked out Lang-8? it's probably exactly what you need. You just post writings and natives correct them, and you do the same in reverse

You can always check with multiple sources (I like www.dict.cc), or Google Translate's various options when you click on a word after typing it in.

You can also join our FB group if you're not already in it, and ask for translations there if needed.

          Thanks for the suggestions! :) I don't have a facebook account :P

Oh my, that makes you an "unstable social element", by the US intelligence services :)

Hahaha I had no idea! By the way someone downvoted my comment (yesterday I had one upvote and today zero) so I guess it is indeed a bad thing not having an account on Facebook :P

It's the FBI agents downvoting :)

unfortunately you are going to need to buy more notebooks because duolingo is no longer adding any more immersions :(

              Where did you hear this?

              https://www.duolingo.com/profile/earthkissed

on an AMA they did a month or two ago.

              https://www.duolingo.com/profile/leonig01

Did they specify a reason for that?

              https://www.duolingo.com/profile/earthkissed

Only a small number of people were using it, and in terms of how they would generate revenue, they wanted to focus on being an education company rather than a translation company.

I have always dreamed of reading Karlssen pa taket in the source language, maybe it is time I started translating it for myself :)
