I translated this as "he lasts how long?" which was accepted and is also a far funnier translation.
It lasts how much time? is awkward is English. It lasts for how much time? is more natural..
Um neither one sounds great in English but the important thing is that you're understanding the French.
There's a difference between "how long does it last" and "how long will it last" and I'd presume that distinction exists in French as well

With the male voice I didn't hear the d in dure. The female voice on this page was clearer to me.
Why is "how long does the time last" not acceptable, even though it seems strange in English.
