Oh, this must be what to say when the random annoying dude is trying to flirt with you by giving or buying you something. :P
"Hello there, miss. Would you like to buy some potions?"
"Nej tak, farvel."
could farvel also be translated to farewell? much easier to remember as they sound the same lol
Does anyone know how to say please? And also a less formal-sounding version of farvel?
Well, surprisingly there is no such word as "please" in Danish. For a "less-formal" word of "farvel" I'd use hej-hej
The only moment when it would be necessary is when you beg to have something "plese please please, take to the city", but my teacher and friends said they'd just use "please" then.
Really? What do they use instead that would be similar, if anything? I'd really like to now how you can not have please in a language. Never seen that before, very interesting :)
"farvel" is formal, but applicable in most situations. Less formal is "hej" or "hej-hej"
