How do I turn off the coach?

I'm not able to see how many points I need until the next level with it on, so I want to turn it off. But I don't see where I can turn it off.

You cannot turn the coach off but you can set the target to 1XP which is as good as.

The problem with not seeing how many XPs to your next level is nothing to do with the coach. There is an A/B test in progress so some can see their XP to next level while others cannot. I am in the same boat as you unfortunately. You can bookmark the following page https://www.duolingo.com/comment/6155294 and select DuoCheck to see the required information. Otherwise we will just have to wait until Duo give the facility to everyone.
