Milestone Reached: 1 Year Streak
Today marks my 356th day learning on Duolingo. By far, I have conquered Spanish tree and now, I am working on Aleman desde Español as I hope to learn another language while improving my Spanish at the same time. I found it was much easier to learn Spanish and memorize the vocabs mainly because I have a strong affection on the language itself. However, I do not seem to handle well which verb tense to use under different circumstances, partly because we are just exposed to simpler sentences on Duolingo compared to much more complex sentences in real-time Spanish articles. In my opinion, Duolingo is enough to give us understanding of the language and the ability to conduct informal conversation. I had communicated with native speakers on the web and contented to know that they were surprised at my ability to construct simple sentences and respond with correct grammar for someone who learns the language solely from the internet for less than a year. Also, I am a lazy person. Even though I try to translate the articles on Duolingo, I often give up after a sentence or two because I do not like reading things that are long, in a serious tone or something like a recent scientific research that prove some facts that aren't astonishing. I tried searching for some websites that publish interesting articles or impressive speech but to no avail. So, if someone knows something like that or has seen an article you will never forget, please tell me. Thanks.
Dude, you know a year is 365 days, right? But congratulations anyway! =D
Oye . . . 365 . . . 356 . . . what is the difference? HAHAHAHAHA
I don't think @carras16 will lose his/her streak in the next week or two. Wow, I didn't catch this or pay attention. I'm usually sleeping on the job.
As far as interesting articles in Spanish, the only question that I have for you is . . . what are you interested in? Honestly, I can't believe that you could not find an interesting article or impressive published in Spanish.
So let me know what you're interested in and I'll help you find it quickly . . . for a small fee of $0. ;-)
Yes. You can filter your search for specific interests, that's the joy of the Internet. Do you want fashion? Crime? Entertainment? Sports? Children Stories?
You should be able to find just about everything and anything in your target language.
