Spanish Exam meaning
Hey guys, I've looked around to try to find a scale to see what my score means on the exam. I scored a 1.58 (obviously it means I have a ways to go), but what level proficiency does that imply? The reason I'm asking is I'm fairly new to this program and wish to be able to test out of Spanish 1 for college in the fall since I'm required to take a language. What do you think would be a good minimum goal for my score on the exam? Thanks
*I wish to progress as much as possible, not just the minimum, it just helps to have a ballpark
edit: Perhaps a better way to phrase this would be "What might someone who just finished a college level Spanish 101 class with a good grade score on this?"
Maybe a 4? That exam tests you on the entire course, though, so I wouldn't measure yourself by the score until you've finished your tree. Then you can start ironing out your weaknesses.
5.00 is 100%, so 1.58 is 31.60%. The grade needed depends on the exam. Most of the tests require over 60% to be considered satisfactory. If this were the case, you'd need 3.00
Is the entire tree on here the equivalent to a 101 class though? It seems like there may be more than that, but I honestly don't know.
The entire tree is equivalent to an A2 level (B1 at the most) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; a Spanish 201, more or less. A person with a good grade on Spanish 101 should be ranking around 3.5
