Danish after Swedish

I just recently finished my Swedish tree, so I decided to give Danish a go while I continue strengthening Swedish. Hoo boy... I think the experience can best be described by the lower half of this webcomic page: http://sssscomic.com/comic.php?page=180

Did you find it difficult? I'm thinking about starting the Danish tree this week (I have completed the Swedish tree too)

Well, I've only got two basic units under my belt so far, so that might flavor my answer :-P but no, not hard, really. The hardest part is hearing it; it almost sounds like if Swedish and French had a baby together. Swedish base, with that French tendency to simply not pronounce certain parts of a lot of words.

I see. But maybe it is a matter of getting used to the pronounciation.. Anyway, thanks for the response :)

Probably :-) Though the Danish team apparently has also joked about the TTS voice being less than fantastic. I believe the description used was "sometimes a sailor, sometimes my drunk aunt who lives out in the countryside." :-P

        Go Norwegian then! :D

I hear lots of Swedish when listening to things in Norwegian, and I barely know any Swedish... :)

Oh believe me, once team Norwegian finishes the Bokmål course, I'll be diving right in!
