Learning english through spanish

Is there a way to change the language of the site and learn through spanish english? I thought it'd be a good way to learn spanish, but would it switch my current progress on spanish? Or it won't damage it at all? Thanks.

In DL, we call it the "reverse tree"

  1. Click on the flag associated with your icon, then select "Add a new course"
  2. Switch the language near "I speak " from English to Spanish
  3. Under the list of languages available for Spanish speakers, select English

Personally, I advise you finish the "Spanish for English speakers" tree before you embark on this, though It won't hurt to try it and see if it works for you personally.

. . . would it switch my current progress on spanish? Or it won't damage it at all?

No, your progress is saved, though if you forget to tend to your existing tree, some of the skills will be "ungold"

Hope this helps.

Nice comment.

One thing to note: When you switch to a different base language, your entire Duo interface will be in that language! Be prepared!

Another thing: Switching between trees with different base languages (like English-Spanish to Spanish-English) is trickier than switching just to different trees that use the same language (like English-Swedish or English-Spanish). I keep two bookmarks handy: the "start this course" page for learning Spanish and the "ir este curso" for learning English. I know there are some other ways, including I think a Greasemonkey script.
