Sometimes 'nessas' means 'these', sometimes 'those'. What is the rule?

I don't want to clutter....but I thought "naquella roupas" would be "those clothes"?

So, this sentence almost means "in those clothes that you have on"

Almost like a father saying to his daughter: "You are not going out in that tiny Brazilian bikini!"
