Lost my username and progress

A few weeks ago I was on Spanish Level 11. Recently, I changed the firmware on my smartphone and reinstalled Duolingo application. I logged into my account after the re-installation process and discovered that my username and all of my progress data disappeared. For some reason my current username is 2LhvOrfA I tried to change my username back to "Overslam" but the system says "The username is already taken". Is it possible to recover my account?

If you're on an iPhone, go to Duolingo App -> Profile (top left) -> Settings (top left) -> Sign Out
Then sign in with your old name and password.


I got android. I did a password reset a week ago, can't use the old password anymore.


Do you recall the email address that you used to sign up for your first account? If so, go here: https://www.duolingo.com/forgot_password and put in your email address and we'll send you a password token so you can reset it.


That's the same email address that is currently associated with my new account. This is so strange. I can even search for my old username and add it to "Follow"


What is the username associated with the old account?


My old username is "Overslam" Any password reset attempts result in resetting the password for my current account.
