I thought one of the main aims of Duolingo was to make the internet accessible to many more people. However, the majority of users, English speakers, are being asked to translate articles from foreign languages into English thereby not helping those from other countries at all. What can we do?

It helps those that write in French, Spanish, etc, reach a broader audience, making their work accessible to more people. It seems that 'helps those from other countries' to some extent, certainly a great deal more than 'not at all.' If I can now read an article that was formerly only available in Portuguese, I now have greater access to info on the Internet.
