Skills won't strengthen

It's odd because for a while everything goes how you would expect then all of a sudden it just decides to not count my progress, even when I refresh the page. The experience goes up (I think) but it doesn't turn gold. If I wait until the next day to try again it works normally, but it's annoying to wait all that time & I still have to re-redo the lesson. I have no idea what it is..

There's also an on/off problem with audio not working at all. And yeah I tried updating adobe & what not but it's a hit or miss thing =/
