"Io non mangio il ghiaccio, tu mangi il ghiaccio."

December 20, 2012

I am a habitual eater of ice

Couldn't this also be translated into the present progressive? "I AM not eatING... you ARE eatING?"

Yes, all of the present tense sentences can be translated as either present simple ("You eat") or present progressive ("You are eating").

I'm hearing "biacio", not "ghiaccio".

Me too! But does it help if we write that here or should we click the report a problem button? I've heard a few strange things in the audio up till now. Will the Duolingo team do anything with our comments or should i just ignore it and go on?

I always report when something's wrong, but I have no idea whether Duolingo cares about that. I just hope for the best.

Having worked through some of the other languages here, I know that they do fix things, and often respond to let you know that they're working on it. While there's still the occasional glitch, the sound in the spanish and french sections has improved quite a bit.

That's good to hear. Actually i think they've fixed it now. Good!
