why "différent" is wrong?

when saying something is very different, would you only say "très différente" or can you also say "très différent" and does it depend on the object of the sentence? and in this case, where there is no object, does it matter how you say it?

The reason you use "différente" and not "différent" is because of how it is pronounced in the recording. "Différent" would be correct in another context (where the speaker is referring to a masculine object) but the key here is the pronunciation used.
