100 Day Streak
Hola a todos! I just hit my 100 day streak on Duolingo and I'm pretty proud of that. I started to learn Spanish because I have a job in Peru coming up in the next couple of months and I want to be able to communicate with people there. I'm definitely glad that Duolingo has a daily streak counter (and streak freezes, thank god, I've used like 7 of those so far) that definitely drives me to do a couple of exercises even when I don't feel like it. I'm definitely not comfortable with Spanish yet but it's getting better. I currently work with many native Spanish speakers so it's nice to be able to try out some new words on them and see how I'm doing. They've said my Spanish has come a long way so that's good to hear, but it still has a long way to go.
Good luck to everybody out there who is working on learning a language and thank you Duolingo for the free learning opportunity!
Keep up the good work! Enjoy Peru. Duo has help me so much living in Mexico. Another free bee I found helpful is COMPLETE SPANISH by Language Transfer. Give them a Google. They have 90+, 8 to 12 minute audio segments that have really improved my speaking skills. Enjoy!
Thank you for the tip! Speaking is one area that I have a lot of work to do, and that is the area that I would like to do the best in. I'll have to check this out! Congratulations on the 500 day streak! That's impressive!
Congrats! I'm just at my 100 day streak too (yesterday), and I have to admit it gave me a warm feeling to reach that goal. Streak tracking definitely helps you hang in there when you otherwise might skip a day...
Congratulations on the 100 day streak! That's quite an accomplishment. If you're anything like me there were probably a number of times you didn't feel like doing Duo and almost lost your streak. Keep up the good work and thank you for your encouragement!
I am disappointed that my 102 day streak just ended. Annoying time change isn't taken into consideration. Now my motivation is gone :( Tried so hard to keep it up. Do I have the energy to pick it up again??
I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. You could always E-mail Duolingo and explain the time change and they might have mercy on you? When I was at 90 something days I was doing my second exercise of the day when it turned midnight without me knowing it. I didn't have a steak freeze because I was out of lingots but for some mysterious reason I didn't lose my streak. Maybe something out there wants me to keep learning Spanish... Either way you should start again! It's going to improve your life and make you a better person!
